Artists in Focus highlights work by Australian artists in the Collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. The display showcases singular works and bodies of work by more than 50 artists acquired by the MCA since its inception in 1989. It represents a dynamic approach to the presentation of the Collection, which will change over the course of 24 months.

This first iteration includes emblematic works, as well as works rarely seen. The selection represents a range of artists’ perspectives, media and practices from across generations. Commonalities emerge through storytelling, cultural traditions and shared histories, providing new ways to think about the world.
