AFFORDABLE ART FAIR MOVES TO CARRIAGEWORKS WITH A PHENOMENAL PROGRAM FOR ITS BIGGEST SYDNEY EVENT YET
Affordable Art Fair Sydney is preparing to throw open the doors to its biggest and most ambitious Fair yet when it returns for a fourth year from 6 – 9 November 2025. More than 65 galleries, representing hundreds of exciting and inspiring contemporary artists, will come together under one roof at the Fair’s new home in the iconic Carriageworks cultural precinct, kicking off their Summer Program.
Australian Fair Director Georgia Huestis said the move to Carriageworks allowed the Fair to welcome an estimated 14,000 visitors across four days, as well as a suite of thrilling new galleries making their debut and fan favourites, some returning for their fourth year. Galleries will showcase thousands of original works from both established and emerging
artists, all priced between $100 and $10,000.
“Our new venue allows the event to grow its footprint and impact, while staying true to its mission of making art accessible, affordable and exciting for all,” Huestis said. The move to Carriageworks also brings a reimagined layout and refreshed dining options designed to elevate the entire Fair experience, offering more room to browse, better flow
between gallery spaces and new places to linger, sip and soak it all in.
“Affordable Art Fair is hands-down the easiest and most enjoyable way to explore and buy art, whether you’re hunting for your first piece or your fiftieth. “Everything is from a living artist, prices are clearly listed and you can take your new artwork home on the day. What’s not to love?”
New to the Sydney Fair in 2025 is N Smith Gallery from Surry Hills, whose roster of emerging artists includes Sulman Prize winners Claire Healy and Sean Cordeiro, award-winning First Nations artist Sally Scales, Neva Hosking, Louise Zhang and Dylan Mooney. Other Sydney galleries making their hometown debut are Paddington’s Art2Muse Gallery, Pyrmont’s Audrey Fine Art and Frances Keevil Gallery at Studio W Sydney in Woolloomooloo.
Tyger Gallery in Yass, NSW, brings Sally Rasmussen’s fibre weavings, Ben Randall’s colourful abstracts and Ray Monde’s collage artworks to the Fair, while Corner Store Gallery from Orange is sure to make a splash when it debuts pieces by its vibrant, multi-disciplinary artists.
Returning in 2025 is Woollahra’s Project Gallery, bringing pieces by in-demand artists including Katie Hopkinson-Pointer, Jessica Guthrie, Tracey Schramm, Peter Berner and
Michael Kempson. Also returning is Day Gallery from Blackheath in the Blue Mountains, Nationwide Curating from Katoomba, the colourful and eclectic Jumbled from Orange, Galley Alchemy from Milton, NSW, and Sarah Birtles Art + Advice.
Back by popular demand are the fascinating Artist in Action live art-making demonstrations, featuring an incredible lineup of creatives including Brad Turner (Brad Turner Collective), Joanna Davies (Toowoomba Gallery), Wendi Leigh (Aspire Gallery), Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative, Claudio Kirac (Mint Art House), and artists from Hamley Studio.
Adding to the excitement, crowd favourite Jackie Case and her quirky Art ATM return for the fourth year running, promising plenty of illustrative surprises for event-goers.
Jason Parker will bring his largescale suspended rotating floral mural to Sydney for the first time, alongside putting the finishing touches to his six-metre mural that he commenced onsite at the Melbourne Fair.
Visitors can take in the live demonstrations or ponder their next purchase with a glass of sparkling wine in hand from the new Bird in Hand Wine Bar. The family-friendly Fair unveils a new Children’s Art Studio, curated by artist Tenyka Jay, where budding artists of all ages can explore an underwater wonderland filled with sea life and submarines, including a seven-metre hand-painted mural, watercolour whales, colouring activities and free face painting.
Affordable Art Fair runs Thursday 6 November – Sunday 9 November 2025 at Sydney’s Carriageworks.
