BUSINESS EVENTS TURBOCHARGED ACROSS NSW
A total of 27 business events across NSW will receive grants of up to $30,000, helping to turbocharge local economies and create more jobs across the State.
Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said while it has been incredibly tough for the business events sector, now was the time to rebuild business confidence and kick-start momentum across the industry.
EVENT MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIPS UP FOR GRABS
Up and coming event managers living across the State will have the opportunity to benefit from one of 18 scholarships funded by the NSW Government and delivered in partnership with Meetings and Events Australia.
Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said the scholarships are a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to upskill and achieve their career goals within the events industry.
Sydney Solstice To Bring A New Dawn To Harbour City
The new winter event series Sydney Solstice launches today and will bring thousands of people into the Harbour City over the next 13 days and nights.
Created by the NSW Government and managed by Destination NSW, Sydney Solstice will continue to revitalise Sydney’s CBD and surrounding precincts through the staging of 200-plus events in more than 150 venues.
Treasurer Dominic Perrottet said the NSW Government was committed to the revitalisation of Sydney CBD.
AFL’S BIG FREEZE COMING TO SYDNEY THIS QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY
The NSW Government is partnering with the AFL to host the blockbuster Queen’s Birthday clash between Collingwood and Melbourne at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The significant match will be played in COVID-safe conditions at the SCG on Monday 14 June, while the incredibly popular Big Freeze fundraising platform for Motor Neurone Disease will also take on a distinct Sydney style.

Local businesses in the Snowy Mountains will reap the tourism and economic benefits of a new Grand Fondo-style cycling event that has been secured for five years from 2022 by the NSW Government.
Deputy Premier and Member for Monaro John Barilaro said the Snowy Mountains has become known as an iconic cycling destination so to have secured the Snowy Classic for a five-year period was a massive coup for the region.

VIVID SYDNEY 2021 PROGRAM TO TRANSFORM HARBOUR CITY
Vivid Sydney 2021 will invigorate the Harbour City this August, with an innovative floating light walk, widespread celebration of Aboriginal culture and themes of resilience and diversity throughout.
Sydneysiders and visitors are invited to join the celebration of creativity, innovation and technology as one COVID-safe community from 6 to 28 August.
162 MUSIC VENUES TO RECEIVE BOOST THROUGH $24 MILLION LIVE MUSIC SUPPORT PACKAGE
New South Wales remains the home of live music with 162 live music venues in Sydney and NSW receiving an injection of funds through the NSW Government’s $24 million Live Music Support Package.
The program will help assist 85 Sydney venues and 77 regional NSW venues that have been significantly impacted by COVID-19 related restrictions over the past year to survive through the pandemic.
