NEL Unveils “Native Australia” Menu, a celebration of Country and culinary culture
NEL Restaurant is proud to announce the launch of its newest degustation experience, “Native Australia,” a menu which pays homage to the rich flavours, ingredients and landscapes of Australia. It showcases the very best of locally sourced, sustainable produce whilst championing unique native ingredients.
Patron Chef Nelly Robinson and the NEL team have crafted a 12-course journey which highlights the diversity and beauty of Australia’s natural pantry. Diners can expect inventive dishes featuring stunning seasonal produce and push culinary boundaries.
Lookout for the Lemongrass Prawn Kebab, presented dramatically over a mini campfire bowl. This dish evokes the essence of cooking in the bush, featuring sustainably sourced prawns infused with aromatic lemongrass and native herbs. Carnivores will love the Lamb Crusted with Hummus, a tender lamb paired with earthy beetroot, silky garlic yoghurt, and fragrant anise myrtle, creating a harmonious balance of familiar comfort and native Australian complexity. The sweet tooths among us will be enamoured with the Honey Pavlova, a playful reimagining of the classic, topped with a bubbling warm lemon myrtle curd which celebrates one of Australia’s most beloved native botanicals.
The menu is designed to immerse guests in the ingredients and flavours of Country. “Each course pays homage to the our oft misunderstood and underrepresented native ingredients. At NEL, we embrace and celebrate them,” Says chef Nelly.

The 12-course “Native Australia” degustation is available for $195 per person, with an optional wine pairing for $165 (or $95 non-alcoholic) per person, featuring Australian drops that complement and elevate each dish.
This limited-season offering will run 14 January to April 25. NEL is open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 5.15pm and lunch on Saturday, offering an intimate and memorable dining experience right in the heart of Sydney. For bookings click here.
