Time to traverse thrilling Tour de Gorge in the Pilliga

Riders keen to traverse one of NSW’s most iconic landscapes are invited to join the annual Tour de Gorge Mountain Bike Challenge through the Timmallallie National Park, near Baradine, on Saturday 6 September.

Starting at 8:30am, the event is open to all riders and will take them through spectacular scenery including sandstone gorges, wildflower-filled woodlands and rich wildlife habitats.

The unique cycling event running since 2013 offers something for everyone with a 12km family-friendly trail and a 50km adventure ride through the stunning Pilliga Forest - the largest stretch of continuous native forest west of the Great Dividing Range.

Cyclists are invited to enjoy a family-friendly, community-focused atmosphere with a BBQ and activities at the Sculptures in the Scrub picnic area after the event.

All visitors and riders are encouraged to register for the Walk on the Wildside tour; a guided cultural experience led by a local Aboriginal guide. Book here - https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/things-to-do/guided-tours/walk-on-wild-side-pilliga

Riders can also purchase a brand-new riding jersey designed specifically for this year’s ride so don’t forget to order it when you register online. Don’t miss this chance to ride, connect, and explore the heart of the Pilliga!

To join the ride, you must book a spot by heading to https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/things-to-do/events/tour-de-gorge

Entry costs $30 per rider and includes a registration pack. The event will take place on Saturday 6 September with a pre-ride briefing at 8.30am with cyclists hitting the track at 9am.
