Bowral Classic is Back in 2025 – Premier Cycling Event Returns to The Southern Highlands, NSW

Returning to the Southern Highlands on Sunday, 19 October 2025, the cycling Gran Fondo offers three courses ranging from 85km to 150km. Starting on Bong Bong St in the heart of Bowral, the routes will showcase the best of the region’s idyllic scenery and challenging terrain that has made the event a staple in the Australian cycling calendar.

Seasoned riders and newcomers alike can enjoy fully resourced rest stops, on-course support, and a celebratory finish-line experience. The Event Village at Loseby Park will be a buzzing hub with live music, gourmet food stalls, local beer and wine bars, and a showcase of the top cycling brands.

Event organisers are pleased to announce Lack Group as the official Traffic Management provider for the 2025 Bowral Classic. With a strong reputation for reliability and extensive experience in managing major sporting events, Lack Group’s appointment ensures that riders, spectators, and local communities can have full confidence in the event’s safety and execution.

“We are determined to deliver a world-class event in 2025 and are grateful for the riders and community who continue to support us,” said James Yaffa, The Classics Founder. “We were devastated by what happened last year, and we understand the disappointment felt by our participants. We’ve worked tirelessly to ensure it never happens again, and bringing Lack Group on board is a key step in that commitment. We can’t wait to return to the Southern Highlands and are focussed on creating an incredible atmosphere for participants, supporters and the local community.”

Attracting thousands of cyclists from across the country and internationally, the Bowral Classic brings in over $3,000,000 to the local tourism economy each year

Locals are encouraged to get involved with the event by either registering for the ride and enjoying the on-course support, or volunteering over the weekend. Head to www.bowralclassic.com.au for more information.

The Bowral Classic is proudly supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

Ride & Raise Money

The Bowral Classic is offering a refreshing approach to event fundraising with individual riders and teams raising money for whichever charity they wish to support. Since the inaugural Bowral Classic event in 2016, the Classics events have raised over $500,000 for charities across Australia.
