Final Tickets On Sale Now For Qatar Airways British & Irish Lions Series

Rugby Australia (RA) will today release the final ticket allocation for this year’s eagerly-anticipated Qatar Airways British & Irish Lions Series, which begins in Perth in 100 days’ time.

RA is also pleased to confirm the final nine-game tour schedule for the Lions, which will include an historic clash with the First Nations & Pasifika XV at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Tuesday, July 22.

Further, it has been confirmed that former All Blacks mentor Ian Foster will be part of the coaching staff for the AUNZ Invitational XV against the Lions in Adelaide on Saturday, July 12.

The Lions tour is a highlight of the global sporting calendar and earlier ticket releases for this once-in-12-year event have sold quickly.  The final allocation represents the last chance for supporters to purchase tickets and be part of the anticipated 500,000 fans to attend nine matches across six cities over six weeks.

Tickets the 2025 British & Irish Lions Tour are available here.

This new ticket release includes the opening Test between the Wallabies and the Lions at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on Saturday, July 19, where the initial ticket allocation was exhausted in just 60 minutes last year.

Melbourne’s MCG will host the second Test where supporters will have the opportunity to be part of the largest ever crowd for a Lions Test, with the iconic venue capable of hosting more than 100,000 spectators, which would surpass the current Lions Test record attendance of 84,188 at Accor Stadium in 2001.

Sydney’s Accor Stadium is set to be the location for another potential decider between the two sides, with both previous Series going down to the wire, with the Wallabies winning 2-1 in 2001, before the Lions squared the ledger in 2013.

As part of the final release, all ticket categories will be available for purchase, allowing for more accessible tickets across all matches until they are sold out.

The First Nations & Pasifika XV is first time ever such a team has assembled and will follow what's been billed as a ‘fourth Test’ between the AUNZ Invitational XV and the Lions at the famous Adelaide Oval on Saturday, July 12 - the first time in 30 years the two countries have joined forces on the field.

The Lions will also play all four Super Rugby Pacific clubs throughout the Tour of Australia with the ACT Brumbies famously beating the international side in 2013.

Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh said: “It’s incredibly exciting to be able to offer the last available tickets for what’s going to be an absolutely unforgettable Lions Tour throughout June, July and August.

“With just 100 days to go until the first match, it’s certainly not far away and whether you’re a lifelong Rugby supporter, a general sports fan or someone who loves live events, this Tour is something you must be a part of.

“It’s particularly pleasing to have tickets available across all categories, allowing more Australians, and those travelling, to be there in the stands for what truly is a bucket list live sporting event.

“We’re also thrilled to be able to confirm the First Nations & Pasifika XV match in Melbourne, which will be a great celebration of those who continue to contribute enormously to the Australian Rugby community.”

Ben Calveley, CEO of the British & Irish Lions said: “It is fantastic to confirm the match schedule for the 2025 Tour with the added fixture against a First Nations & Pasifika XV at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium - a game that everyone at the Lions is hugely excited about.

"With the Tour schedule confirmed, we are also excited to see the final ticket allocation released. Together we are set to welcome more than half a million fans at games in 2025 for what will be an amazing spectacle in one of the greatest sporting countries in the world.

"For our own Lions supporters, Wallabies fans and global sporting fanatics, this is the last opportunity to purchase tickets and be part of what will be a truly special six weeks.”

Queensland Minister for the Environment and Tourism Andrew Powell said the Crisafulli Government was excited to support the event, with thousands of visitors expected at the July 2 and July 19 matches in Brisbane.

“We know rugby fans embrace this clash between the British and Irish Lions and the Wallabies – it’s been part of Queensland’s rugby history since their very first tours more than a century ago. And we get the added bonus of a clash with the mighty Reds as well!”

“As well as a great sporting contest, these events are major boosts for our economy.”

Brisbane Lord Mayor, Adrian Schrinner said: “The British & Irish Lions tour is one of the greatest drawcards in world rugby and will bring a significant boost for our local businesses as people fill our bars, restaurants and hotels.”

Victoria Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events, Steve Dimopoulos said: “Melbourne will be absolutely buzzing when tens of thousands of British and Irish Lions fans visit, and it’s fantastic that we have two incredible matches locked in for fans to enjoy.”

“These events will be a huge boost for the Victorian economy, with fans flocking to hotels, bars, restaurants and cafes while they’re here and coverage of the matches showcasing Melbourne to the world.”

The 2025 British & Irish Lions Tour matches in Sydney are proudly supported by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

South Australia Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison said:  “In South Australia, we do events like nowhere else, and we’re giving visitors experiences that make them want to come back and explore more of our State – and the British & Irish match at our iconic Adelaide Oval will be no different as we embrace rugby fever this July.”

The 2025 British & Irish Lions Tour is proudly supported by the Western Australian Government through Tourism Western Australia.
