The Fullerton Sydney Recognised as #1 Hotel in Australia and New Zealand with Conde Naste Traveller's Reades' Choice Award
Condé Nast Traveller has announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards with The Fullerton Hotel Sydney recognised as the number one hotel in Australia and New Zealand.
More than 520,000 Condé Nast Traveller readers submitted responses rating their travel experiences across the globe to offer a comprehensive look at the places they eagerly anticipate revisiting. The Readers' Choice Awards, with their unparalleled legacy as the travel industry's longest-running and most prestigious accolades, remain the ultimate symbol and acknowledgment of excellence within the travel sector. Located at 1 Martin Place, The Fullerton Hotel Sydney is housed within the historic General Post Office (GPO) building in the heart of the city and represents an exceptional time in both Sydney’s and Australia’s history. A restoration project in 2019 involved more than 30 stonemasons who spent nine months and more than 38,400 hours cleaning the intricate stonework of the facade. The hotel boasts 416 exquisite guest rooms, spread across the traditional Heritage wing and the contemporary elegance of the high-rise tower. The Fullerton Hotel Sydney is situated in a premium location in the heart of the Emerald City, just a short walk to Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, the Botanical Gardens and China Town.
