PRESENTERS, A PEKING DUK PARTY AND STAR-STUDDED LINE-UP CONFIRMED FOR 66th TV WEEK LOGIE AWARDS
The TV WEEK Logie Awards today confirmed ARIA Award-winning, multi-platinum-selling Australian electronic dance music duo Peking Duk (DJs, producers and musicians Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles) will be performing at this year’s night of celebrations on Sunday 16 August at The Star Sydney and broadcast live and exclusively on Seven and 7plus.
Peking Duk’s long-awaited debut album, Paradise, is set to be released on August 14th. It’s come well over a decade into their career and was written and produced as a complete body of work. They've recruited an epic cast of collaborators, with luminaries like punk-trap trailblazer Rico Nasty, Atlantan rap legend Killer Mike and feted Australian indie-rocker Matt Corby all appearing as feature artists. Peking Duk describe Paradise as “a love letter to Australia”, with the album exploring the everyday poetry of Australia, including a spoken word introduction by iconic Aussie acting great Jack Thompson.
Adam and Reuben said: "With our debut album Paradise dropping August 14, we are bloody stoked to be jumping up and throwing it down at the Logies this year! Of all the awards ceremonies in Australia, our favourite we’ve ever attended was the Logies, those Oz TV folk know how to throw a party! We are going to rip out our new single 'Thrills', bring along the insanely talented singer Kye, and even throw in a couple cheeky surprises. We hear our favourite Australian, Robert Irwin, is going to be in the house, so we are going to start manifesting now...we want him to get up on stage and dance his sexy ass off with us!"
The TV WEEK Logie Awards has also confirmed some of the presenters for the evening including Simon Baker, Asher Keddie, Urzila Carlson, Guy Montgomery, Tim Minchin, Tom Gleisner, Mick Molloy, Todd Woodbridge, Eloise Hart, Shane Jacobson, Sophie Monk, Amanda Keller, Bruce McAvaney, Emily Symons, Kyle Shilling, Matt Shirvington, Nat Barr, Michael Usher, Mel Tracina, Melanie Bracewell and Rob Collins.
