Reservations For Golden Century At Crown Sydney Now Open
Golden Century at Crown Sydney will officially open on Monday, 20 January, with reservations opening today in time for Lunar New Year. Golden Century will reprise the menu from its original location in Sussex St, which has been unavailable since 2020.
Co-owner Billy Wong said “Opening Golden Century at such an auspicious time - on the cusp of Lunar New Year - feels like a fitting new beginning for us. We have always put hospitality first, and are so excited to open the doors to our beloved guests, including those who are familiar with our food and excited to once again enjoy it, and those who will be trying it for the first time.”
Along with signature dishes and live seafood from the tanks, Golden Century will also bring back their famed yum cha offering. Diners can enjoy a selection of over 80 traditional Cantonese dishes - steamed dim sum including xiao long bao, prawn golden coin dumplings and chicken and date siu mai; rice rolls including XO sauce stir-fried rice paper rolls and rice paper rolls with pork ribs and black bean sauce; pan and deep fried dim sum including taro cakes, fried prawn wontons and BBQ pork puff pastry; as well as a range of vegetarian options.
Crown Sydney CEO, Stanford Le, said “We are excited to ring in the New Year, as well as Lunar New Year across our resort, with the opening of Golden Century. Billy, Eric and Linda Wong exemplify graciousness and warmth through their premium hospitality, and we welcome them to the Crown family, and Barangaroo precinct, with open arms.”
Golden Century will also celebrate Lunar New Year with multiple specials, including poon choi - a traditional Cantonese festival meal including many layers of ingredients such as meat and shell fish; loi hei - a ‘prosperity toss’ salad; new year cake; and turnip cake.
