Suncorp Team Girls Cup Returns Alongside Trophy Tour First

The 2024 Suncorp Team Girls Cup fixture has been confirmed, with the Suncorp Super Netball League’s official pre-season tournament to be played in Sydney for the first time.

This year’s Suncorp Team Girls Cup will be played from Friday 22 March to Sunday 24 March at Sydney’s Ken Rosewall Arena.

It will mark the first opportunity for fans to see all eight Suncorp Super Netball teams in 2024, including newcomers Melbourne Mavericks, in one place as they compete in the round robin style tournament.

The 2023 reigning premiers, the Adelaide Thunderbirds, will open the pre-season competition against the Melbourne Vixens on Friday 22 March at 4.30pm AEDT.

Children 14 years old and younger will have the opportunity to attend sessions across the weekend for free if they purchase tickets for any session before March 8. Adult tickets will be available from $15.

Suncorp Group Executive General Manager, Brand and Customer Experience, Mim Haysom said the Group was excited to be part of the Suncorp Team Girls Cup.

“This is Suncorp’s eighth year of our partnership with Netball Australia and we are looking forword to kicking off 2024 with what promises to be another nail-biting pre-season competition," she said.

“The Suncorp Team Girls Cup is a unique opportunity for netball fans to see all eight Suncorp Super Netball teams under one roof, showcasing everything we love about Australia’s most popular sport for women and girls.

“We’re proud to support a league of athletes who continually perform at the highest level, while inspiring younger generations to build their confidence and self-esteem through sport participation."

In addition to the pre-season tournament, Netball Australia and all Member Organisations ore proud to be delivering the first ever  Suncorp Super Netball Trophy Tour. 

The Suncorp Super Netball trophy will travel to every state and territory, connecting netball nationally in the lead up to Round 1 of the world’s best netball league.

The Trophy Tour will start its ten-week passage on Saturday 17 February in Perth at West Coost Fever’s ‘Green Army’ Fan Day. The first stop will also align with the nation-wide Woolworths NetSetGO ‘Come and Play Day’.

The coveted silverware will then be displayed for netball communities at fan events, pre-season matches and grassroots netball carnivals in the lead up to being showcased at the Suncorp Team Girls Cup in Sydney.

Every game of the Suncorp Team Girls Cup will be available to watch on Kayo Sports ond Foxtel. Matches are also availoble to stream for free via Kayo Freebies, with no credit card details required to register.

Ticket sales for the Suncorp Team Girls Cup commence on Wednesday 7 February. Pre-sale for Suncorp Super Netball club members, registered participants nationwide and Netball Nation subscribers will be available from 12pm AEDT on Wednesday 7 February to 9am AEDT on Thursday 8 February.

General Public tickets will follow and be become available Thursday 8 February from 12pm AEDT onwards. Tickets will be available for purchase via Ticketek.
