Sydney Royal Easter Show – 2025 wrap-up
The 2025 Sydney Royal Easter Show (the Show) ends after 12-days of food, fun and farmtastic experiences, welcoming over 850,000 people through the gates.
The Show got off to a bang on April 11, breaking a decades old attendance record for the opening day with over 60,000 heading to Sydney Showground.
Through the work of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS), the Show brought the country to the city and connected millions of Australians with the people and the produce behind the nation’s agriculture industry.
RAS General Manager of Agriculture and the Show, Murray Wilton, said the Show is an annual reminder of regional Australia's talent, tradition and tenacity.
“Every year, the Show is where families come to connect with agriculture, enjoy quality time together, and make memories that last well beyond the school holidays,” Mr Wilton said.
“From early morning judging to the fireworks in the evening entertainment, 2025 has truly delivered something for everyone – and we’ve been blown away by the support from our competitors, exhibitors, staff, volunteers, and of course, our incredible Showgoers.”

Crowd favourites
The Farmyard Nursery once again stole the hearts of Showgoers with over 400 animals, including lambs, piglets, chicks, and ducklings, delighting young and old alike.
Over at the Big Bush BBQ, thousands of sausages were served up by local Show Societies, raising funds for regional communities across NSW.
It is never a slow Show. The high-octane rides like the XXL Sky Flyer and The Pheonix put a pep in the step of Showgoers and the classics like the Super Slide are never far from sight at the Show.
This year there were more than 1.7 million unique ride experiences recorded this year, for the youngsters and those young at heart.
Excellence on Show
From 11-22 April, over 13,000 animals across 400 different breeds padded, pawed, slithered and sprinted across the Showgrounds. There were more than 10,000 events judged this year, with upwards of 6,000 competitors vying for approximately 15,000 ribbons, trophies, medallions, and special prizes.
From the launch of the female breakaway roping event in the Main Arena to the Women’s World Championship Underhand Woodchop, 2025 was a standout year for talent and tradition, and proves the saying “everything old is new again”.
A trip to the Show is synonymous with the CWA Tea Room. The must-stop destination, where over 38,000 of freshly baked scones, tea, and warm hospitality raised funds for rural and regional causes.
Until next year
As the sun sets, the sheep and cattle return to their pastures and the packdown begins, plans are already well underway for next year.
The Show returns to Sydney Olympic Park from Thursday, 2 April to Monday, 13 April.
