Weekend Sunrise heads to Cowra

The Cowra region’s tranquil gardens, food and wine experiences and fascinating history will be showcased on Weekend Sunrise this weekend thanks to investment by the NSW Government.

Weather presenter James Tobin will visit the region during JT Travels NSW, a recurring monthly segment created in partnership with the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.

Minister for Tourism Stuart Ayres said the JT Travels NSW investment is an opportunity to highlight the attractions that make regional NSW so appealing to visitors.

“Weekend Sunrise will showcase the spirit of charming communities and explore some of the experiences that make them must-visit NSW destinations,” Mr Ayres said.

“Many of our unique tourism operators and iconic locations will be profiled, putting these regions front of mind for holidaymakers around the country.

“We know that viewers respond positively to broadcast integrations because they value being taken behind the scenes by trusted hosts to learn more about the places and faces of NSW.

“Our operators tell us bookings, enquiries and social followers increase after such coverage, which is why Destination NSW is committed to securing these opportunities to drive return for our regional visitor economy.”

Weekend Sunrise will broadcast from Cowra on Network Seven on Saturday 2 April from 7am.

Weekend Sunrise is one of Australia’s highest rating national breakfast programs, with an average audience reach of 1.2 million each weekend. Regional NSW tourism destinations and experiences will be featured on the JT Travels series throughout 2022.
