Inspired by Galaxy AI, step into a futuristic water show of light, dance and interactive wonder from Samsung, set on the waters of Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour.

Giant glowing slinky-inspired shapes arc through the night, responding to touch with playful bursts of light and sound—inviting childlike whimsy and dream-fuelled curiosity.

Inspired by the whimsical world of Joan Miro, step into a surreal playground of six seesaws with giant eyes that gaze back at you as you move up and down. Your movement also triggers a dreamlike symphony of light and sound.

Step onto a glowing tennis court where light replaces the ball and teamwork fuels the dream. Serve, volley and play your part in this radiant celebration of community.

This powerful rooftop projection at the Australian National Maritime Museum retells a timeless Dreaming story of creation, love and loss.

The Cloud Swing

Swing beneath soft glowing clouds that change colour with your every motion in this magical, interactive installation from Burning Man. 

Telephone 

Artist: Yannesi Siu  

Location: Chinese Garden of Friendship forecourt  

Approach one of several retro UK telephone booths and dial the dream line. A recording will prompt you to leave a message. You’ll have 30 seconds to share a dream, name an intention or simply leave a message for someone special. A selection of dream messages will be displayed across the festival footprint.

Tumbalong Nights 

Location: Tumbalong Park 

Free 

23 nights of free music light up the Tumbalong Park stage. From local legends to global icons, experience pop, R&B, Afrobeat and more in Sydney’s ultimate free winter music series, under the stars. Djs keep the vibes spinning from Sunday to Wednesday nights. Live music starts at 7.30pm each Thursday to Saturday (and the 8 and 9 of June, the Sunday and Monday of the long weekend) with kids shows starting each Saturday from 5pm.

Friday 23 May: Charley + Ayesha Madon 

Celebrate Aussie pop with Charley’s soaring anthems and Ayesha Madon’s bold alt-pop sound. A joyful night of raw vocals, big hooks and star-powered stage presence. 

Saturday 24 May: PASIFIX 

Experience Pacific pride through reggae, hip-hop and cultural dance. Curated by Airileke Ingram and presented by Gaba Musik, PASIFIX brings the music and stories of PNG, West Papua and beyond to the Tumbalong Nights stage. 

Thursday 29 May: Adrian Eagle + Jada Weazel 

Uplifting soul and R&B from two rising stars. Adrian Eagle’s gospel-infused vocals meet Jada Weazel’s smooth sound in a night of revelry and joy. 

Friday 30 May: NextGen: V-Pop – Mỹ Anh + Chi Xê 

Vietnam’s freshest V-pop talent hits Sydney. Mỹ Anh and Chi Xê showcase a new generation of genre-bending, soul-infused Vietnamese pop with global flair. 

Saturday 31 May: Vivid Sings! 

Raise your voice at this joyful mass singalong and multi-choir performance. With Bob Downe hosting and directed by celebrated choirmaster and composer Jonathon Welch AM, it’s a big-hearted night of harmony under the stars. 

Thursday 5 June: Body Type + Ripple Effect Band 

Punchy indie-rock meets saltwater songlines. Body Type’s raw energy pairs with Ripple Effect Band’s First Nations storytelling in four Indigenous languages. 

Friday 6 June: Stella Jang + Ivoris 

Korean indie-pop icon Stella Jang and Melbourne’s dreamy pop darling Ivoris bring tender, multilingual tunes and R&B sounds to the stage. 

Saturday 7 June: Zaeden 

Indian pop powerhouse Zaeden brings his electro-pop anthems and smooth vocals to Tumbalong for a night of rhythm and pure energy. 

Sunday 8 June: Dobet Gnahoré + Immy Owusu 

From Afrobeat to Afrodelik surf rock, Grammy-winner Dobet Gnahoré and genre-fusing Immy Owusu light up the night with highlife and heart. 

Monday 9 June: Gabriele Poso + Gabzak 

An electrifying mix of Afro-Latin rhythms and tribal house. Expect global grooves, big energy and plenty of dancing under the stars. 

Thursday 12 June: Pania + Devaura 

Two fierce voices in R&B, soul and hip-hop. Pania and Devaura bring bold lyrics, lush beats and a night of genre-blurring intensity. 

Friday 13 June: MonoNeon + Manfredo Lament 

Bass wizard MonoNeon brings his funk-fuelled future sound to Tumbalong, joined by cinematic soul-jazz collective Manfredo Lament.  

Saturday 14 June: Winston Surfshirt + Jerome Blazé 

Sun-drenched soul and genre-bending grooves. Winston Surfshirt and Jerome Blazé serve up a night of chilled sounds. 

Vivid Kids at Tumbalong 

Each Saturday, Tumbalong transforms for little dreamers. Expect funky veggies, cheeky pop and joyful shows to get kids moving before the main stage lights up.
